Research activity

The Institute of Soil Science and Environmental Protection conducts research topics:

  • soil and soil forming processes in different geoecological conditions,
  • soil organic matter transformations and its role in the environment (including ecological aspects of waste composting and utilization for agriculture and environmental remediation),
  • weathering processes and their effects on clay minerals and soil properties,
  • soil water properties,
  • soil processes in the environment changed by industrial influence and other anthropogenic factors,
  • soil remediation of degraded areas.

Institute of Soil Science and Environmental Protection is a partner and participate at Freely Accessible Central European Soil (FACES). Project is financed by European Union under the Erasmus + program
