The Institute of Soil Science and Environmental Protection conducts research
topics:
- soil and soil forming processes in different geoecological conditions,
- soil organic matter transformations and its role in the environment
(including ecological aspects of waste composting and utilization for agriculture and environmental remediation),
- weathering processes and their effects on clay minerals and soil properties,
- soil water properties,
- soil processes in the environment changed by industrial influence and other anthropogenic factors,
- soil remediation of degraded areas.
